These are never sprayed with chemicals or dyed, and we find them really beautiful. Since they are from a sustainably managed farm, the supply can vary—and this year, we have fewer trees than usual, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. And some really fantastic-looking green romanesco—all from Gardens of Eagan. Try roasting a mixture of colorful flowerettes with a bit of olive oil, some red pepper flakes, a bit of salt and the last fresh herbs from your backyard. Local Peppers are HotWell, not literally, but local sweet peppers, bell peppers, and baby sweets are definitely in season right now.
